The E1W Cable Gland is a high-performance, industrial-grade mechanical fitting specifically designed for use with Single Large Wire Armour (SWA) cables. Engineered for demanding environments, the E1W provides a dual-action seal, ensuring the integrity of both the cables inner and outer sheaths while offering superior mechanical retention for the galvanized steel armor.

Dual-Sealing Technology

Unlike standard glands, the E1W features two distinct seals:

• Inner Seal: Provides a weatherproof and gas-tight grip on the cables inner bedding, protecting internal circuitry from moisture ingress.

• Outer Seal: Compresses against the outer sheath to provide a robust IP66 rating, making it suitable for harsh outdoor conditions.

Armour Clamping & Safety

The defining feature of the E1W is its specialized armour clamping ring. This component ensures a high-strength mechanical grip and electrical continuity for the steel wire armour, which is vital for safe earthing and fault-current protection.
