Brass K-Lock Nuts (Keps Nuts)

A Brass K-Lock Nut, also known as a Keps Nut or K-Nut, is a pre-assembled fastener that combines a hexagonal nut with a free-spinning external-tooth lock washer. This "two-in-one" design is engineered to speed up assembly lines and provide a reliable, vibration-resistant locking mechanism.

Mechanical Design and Integrated Locking

The defining feature of the K-Lock nut is the external-tooth washer attached to the base.

• Free-Spinning Washer: The washer is held captive by a small flange but can spin independently. This allows the nut to be tightened without the washer "dragging" or marring the surface of the material until the final clamping force is applied.
