A brass double-end elbow is a specialized plumbing or gas fitting used to connect two pieces of tubing or pipe at a 90-degree angle, where both ends of the fitting share the same connection type. Unlike a "street" elbow, which has one male and one female end, a double-end elbow is symmetrical.

Common Configurations

These fittings are typically identified by the type of connection on each "end":

• Double Flare: Features two external tapered threads designed to accept flared tubing and flare nuts. This is common in refrigeration (HVAC) and gas line applications.

• Double Female (FPT): Both ends have internal threads. This is the standard "elbow" used to join two male pipes or nipples.

• Double Male (MPT): Both ends have external threads, often used to bridge two female ports in a manifold or valve block.

• Double Compression: Used for quick, solderless connections on copper or plastic tubing, often found in under-sink plumbing or instrumentation.
