Drop-In vs. Knurled Anchors

While the terms are often used interchangeably in the trade, there is a subtle mechanical difference:

• Drop-In Anchors: Often feature a smooth or partially knurled body with an internal conical plug. They are generally designed for heavier static loads and are frequently used in overhead suspensions.

• Knurled Anchors: Feature a fully textured "diamond" or "straight" knurled surface. This provides immediate friction against the hole walls, making them excellent for materials that might slightly crumble, like old brick.
