Brass pool cover anchors are specialty hardware designed to secure safety covers to the deck. They feature a "pop-up" design where the internal bolt can be screwed down flush with the deck when not in use, preventing toe stubs and providing a clean look.

Types of Pool Cover Anchors

The type of anchor you need depends entirely on your deck material (concrete, pavers, or wood).

• Wood Deck Brass Anchor: Specifically designed with a wider horizontal flange or wood-screw threads to distribute the load across wooden planks, preventing the anchor from pulling out of the softer material.

• Concrete Pop-Up Anchor: The most common variety. These are knurled sleeves that are hammered into a pre-drilled hole in concrete. The internal screw can be raised to hold the cover spring and lowered when the pool is open.

Key Technical Specifications

• Material: Solid Brass is used exclusively because it is naturally resistant to pool chemicals (chlorine/salt) and won't rust or seize over the winter.

• Standard Size: Most anchors use a 3/4" (19mm) hole diameter and stand about 1-1/2" to 2" tall.

• Thread Type: Usually a 5/16" or 9/16" specialized thread for the internal pop-up bolt.
